Mount Diablo Initial Point is the starting point for establishing land boundaries throughout most of Northern California and all of Nevada.

A return hike to Monument Peak to document a survey mark that I missed last weekend and a chance to do some needed trail maintenance.

A nice afternoon hike to the iconic Hollywood Sign on Mount Lee in Griffith Park, plus I recovered two survey marks in the process! Win-Win!
