I returned to Box Canyon and the surrounding area for more Survey Mark Recoveries on November 6, 2021. Fascinating history & cool finds!

Two months to the day from a torn ACL and I am back on trail for my first hike, some cool Survey Mark finds, and a bit of CA Land History!

I recovered a good mix of survey marks that fit my category of Drive-By Recoveries (DBR). Of the 78 new finds for the month, 20 were DBRs!

May was my most prolific month of Drive-By Recoveries with 29 marks found! This includes all the finds & some of my tips for locating them!
