Setting my way-back machine to February 2022, this is a trip report from an impromptu hike up Carrizo Mountain to recover a few survey marks

Trans Catalina Trail Day 3. Today I am midway through my hike and have a few survey marks to look for as I head toward Two Harbors.

Trans Catalina Day 2. After much climbing yesterday, today promises to be mostly downhill after lunch at the Catalina Airport in the Sky.

I arrived in Avalon today for a week of hiking the Trans Catalina Trail; follow me daily on my thru-hike on beautiful Santa Catalina Island.

My first summit of Mt. Whitney, the tallest peak in the Continental U.S., couldn't have gone any better! The 3-Day trip was Awesome!

I can't go anywhere without looking for Survey Marks 🤣 I found 38 survey marks on my week-long vacation to Yosemite, read on to learn more!

My annual return to Mount San Antonio "Old Baldy" as part of the SoCal 6POP Challenge & a second attempt at finding the mark on West Baldy.

What an adventure! 16.7 miles, 3,831 feet of vertical gain, a boulder-strewn mountain side with lots of Class 3 bouldering & Type 2 fun!

My 5th time back to Hot Springs Mountain Summit and my 3rd San Diego Six-Pack of Peaks Challenge Complete AND a personal record on descent!
